Welcome to the Affordable Housing Insights Hub! We at Lunous are excited to share the impact we hope to have in building The Hub as well as transparently show our journey in getting there. This resource is a top priority for us because data-driven decision making is crucial in the effort to end homelessness.

Simplified Insights for the Whole Community

We designed the data and insights of the Affordable Housing Insights Hub to be easy to understand, even for those who don’t often work with data. We will utilize accessible data practices and include descriptions of each visual in the dashboard.

In particular, this data will inform decisions by policymakers, funders of housing initiatives, coalition leaders, and other nonprofits working to end homelessness.

Empowering Action Through Integrated Data

Early versions of the Affordable Housing Insights Hub will build a holistic view of affordable housing over time in Skagit County. The Hub makes sense of publicly available but disconnected data on:

• Population income

• Cost of housing

• How much housing is available

• Types of housing available

• How much of the population is housed vs. unhoused

• Demographic information about the unhoused population

• The housing pipeline

As we grow, we will expand The Hub to include areas throughout the pacific northwest and become the go-to resource for those looking to understand current affordable housing needs and track the success of affordable housing initiatives.
