Making Sense of Housing Access

We have built and maintain two data visualization tools to help providers and community members make sense of housing access and homelessness in the Pacific Northwest. Both tools are limited to Washington state but we are exploring how we might best expand our geographical scope. We also have a prototype of an organization directory that is not currently being updated.

Lunous is in the process of developing an Affordable Housing Insights Hub. The AHI-Hub is being designed as your go to source for comprehensive data and insights on affordable housing information and needs in a specific region. The focus of this tool is to serve as a quantitative tool to help inform data-driven decision making around critical affordable housing needs and act as an educational resource for the needs of the community. While we work to fine tune the details, we invite you to stay tuned for its launch by signing up for our newsletter where we will share periodic project updates.

We collected an array of site information and performance statistics of Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Permanent Housing (PH), Transitional Housing (TH), Rapid Re-housing (RRH), and Safe Parking (SP) across Washington State. Use this tool to analyze the capacity and performance of existing housing sites, and to learn more about each property or program and the populations they serve.

This is a directory of organizations working to address the homelessness crisis in Seattle and Washington state. Apply the filters to view organization offerings by geographic area, demographic, or service type.

This dashboard focuses on fulfilling the housing need of people experiencing chronic homelessness. We collected and organized supply, demand, and funding gap data across Washington state by CoC. This dashboard illustrates the number of people experiencing chronic homelessness, the needed number of PSH/PH units, and the funding required to close the gap.
